City of Orland Visitors

Traveling on Interstate 5? Or are you going to Interstate 5 from State Route 32 through the center of our community? We encourage you to stop in Orland for a visit as we have many amenities to offer. You could get a bite to eat at one of our restaurants. We can serve you anything from pizza to sushi. Or, are you just thirsty? Drive thru for an espresso or stop in at one of our local convenience stores. The City has easy access off of State Route 32 to a variety of local offerings and our quaint downtown where you will find our art gallery (pictured on this page). If it is a nice day, take a picnic to one of our local parks. Our largest park, Vinsonhaler, is located four blocks north of State Route 32 (turn north at the East Street stop light).

Would you like more information on the City while you are here? Please stop in at City Hall located one block south of State Route 32 at 815 Fourth Street. We have maps, Glenn Ride bus schedules and a wealth of information available! City Hall staff has been asked questions such as “Where do I get a marriage license” and “How do I get to County Road HH.” And if they don’t know the answer, they will do their best to find one.

So you are on your way to your destination? Did you get something to eat? Maybe you took up our offer to have a picnic or stopped off at one of our antique stores downtown. Whatever you did, we hope that you return soon. Our Avenue of Lights that happens in December has been on CNN and the Today Show. We still hold an old-fashioned July 4th celebration with sack races and frog jumping and the popular Glenn County fair occurs every May.

We look forward to your visit!
